Jared was gone all night at a meeting and I hate cooking when he is gone so I was trying to think of something fun to do with the kids that involved eating. Emmy was begging me all day to go on a bike ride and I kept telling her it was too cold. (I am a wussy AZ native!) BUT... she does have a certain way about her that even if I try to form the word 'NO' a 'YES' slips out. SO, when James got back from scouts we hopped on our bikes and rode to McDonalds. On our way out we happened to pick up a couple more kids!
So James, Anna, Emmy, peanut, me, and 2 rentals Simon and Kristen, peddled to McDonalds. We encountered a few looks from people in cars and some funny comments in the restaurant and we were laughing the whole way. I guess it would be kind of funny to see a pregnant mom with 5 kids in tow pedaling down the street!
We crammed in a booth, ate our dinner, and just talked about anything and everything.
Even though the ride home was dark and cold, I loved every minute of our little trip even if it meant I had to eat McDonalds.

I wasn't going to mention the "wussy" thing but...JK! I bet the 2 guys next to you were thrilled! It's just too bad there wasn't someone to take a pic of the entire bike caravan to McD. It's things like that that kids remember though!!!

oh that is awesome! that is such a fun idea that i must copy sometime! so when i was 8 months pregnant with little james & a total fat cow i rode up that hill to craig park with bee on back...i'm not sure if the tires had any air left in them.:)
