Just so you know, I don't feel guilty for not keeping up with my
thankfuls! I don't even feel pressure that I haven't blogged in awhile! Okay, I really do but that "one stuff " has hit the fan! I am semi back to normal and and ready to get back to the blogging world. I decided I would take the kids to California for spring break because the last time I took them by myself it went so flawless. I guess you can say I started my trip wearing rose colored glasses. My older 2 have been fighting constantly lately. That should have been a big warning sign. I am sure my kids get sick of hearing all of the stories I have about different trips to Cali. I turn off the music and say. . . look kids this is where our tire blew when James was 18mo. and Anna was 2mo and we couldn't change the tire because we bought the car from a random person and there apparently are special keys to take off the rims, so we waited for 5 hours until Jared could flag down help. ... This is where daddy got pulled over and got a ticket, this is our first apt. where Karen and I sat and waited for Jim and Jared with the
Uhaul.... The park where we had James' first
bday party. OH, I could go on and on. I miss it so much.
We pulled in Bryant and
Sarahs house and made ourselves right at home. I think I need a dose of Sarah just as much as I need Cali. She
definitely gives me a boost
every time I see her. She got a babysitter Mon. morning so that we could hang out and then we took the kids to the bay. We thought it would be a little safer without the waves but Emmy still
happened to drown twice. Like I have said in the past, don't steal my award! We were a little out numbered with my 3 kids Sarah's 2 and her being 9mo. pregnant but we survived!

Tues. we met up with Marci, Kristen, and Lynn and a cute little restaurant in Newport for breakfast. After we left James said ... for sure I am the coolest kid in school! Because he met his teacher in Cali. It was funny.
After, I took the kids to Downtown Disney where we met up with Candice and Steven. We ate at the ESPN zone because Steven is the manager and he gave us unlimited game time upstairs and James was in heaven. He got some much needed boy time!
We then had a
bbq at Sarah's parents house.

Needless to say I gained a good 10lbs there. Thank you so much Sarah and Bryant for sharing your house (and bed again) with me. I really appreciate it. I am already anticipating my next visit! Thank you Candice and Steven. It was so fun to see you again.

Yea, Tricia! It's good to hear from you again...even though I left your house just 20 minutes ago. Thanks again...
You're back!! I'm so excited. It sounds like you had some much needed fun on your trip. We were here the whole time but we had a ton of fun, too.
I just thought I would make a suggestion for a future thankful blog for you...your nasal spray. Just a thought. I hope you feel better soon.
Wow that sounds great! I love to visit Cali it's a whole differant world out there. Good to hear you were brave (3 kids in a car by yourself) and had a fun time.
I love your pictures! You were brave to do this trip alone. You really do get the mother of the year award. You've got some awesome kid saving skills! It was so fun to see you guys. My girls are still asking: "Where my friends go?" (~Ella)
Thank you for waking up with all 5 kids every morning! Just what you wanted for your vacation, huh.
