D-Backs

Last year Jared won Dback tickets on the radio which was awesome because he would mostly take James for a boys night. Jared was sad that he would miss out on that this year, then his office decided to get season tickets. We decided to take the 2 older kids to the game last Fri. Anna and I are mostly about the atmosphere and ice cream while James and Jared are really into who wins? Weird huh??! We were walking to the batting cage when we got asked to do a public service announcement. They told us through out the year they would play everyone's on the jumbo tron. I didn't want to be on camera just in case the rumors were true that it adds 10lbs. I don't need that!! So James and Jared were so cute as they were reading their lines. After that, Anna of course got her face painted while James wanted to do the batting cage.

We convienced Anna to do the wiffle ball field and she did. If any of you know Anna, you know that this was the high light of my night! She grabbed the bat luckily the right way and stood about a foot in front of home plate. She swung at every pitch with a smile. She never actually hit a ball but she didn't care.

After the last pitch they ran the bases. As if everyone wasn't laughing already, she ran to third first. OH, ANNA! The laughter that filled the echoing stadium. On the way back to our seats we pass Dan Majerle. I was sure he'd remember me because I got my picture taken with him in the sixth grade, but since he was with his kids, I would save our reunion for a later time! We got our much needed ice cream, sat until the game was over, and watched the fire works.

It was so nice to be able to go with James and Anna we had fun.

I love seeing the games live! I bet the kids will talk about it for weeks if not all season. That is a really great gift to get to share with them.

I think it is funny Tricia posted about the whole night but forgot to mention that the Dbacks won the game.

At least you have your priorities straight, Dr. J. Thank you for that VITAL piece of info.

By the way, NICE batting stance, James. That's a home run stance if I ever saw one. Your mom must be teaching you a thing or two. I hope your dad is teaching you how to bake as well...we want you to be well-rounded.

Brian I do coach the boys baseball team. And yes as a matter of fact James helped me make homemade pizza the other day. Our children are very well-rounded like their father

Good job Mr. Mom. I'm very proud of you. Hey, why wasn't I invited for homemade pizza? It sounds delicious.

how fun! I want to go! I LOVED Dan Majerle. He might remember from when I stalked him about 14 years ago.

Sounds like a fun night - especially the ice cream part.

Anna is such a girly girl. I love that she ran to third base instead of first.

I love James in that last picture. He looks too cool for school.

Tricia, Brian has some Swiss Chocolate for you. Do you prefer light or dark chocolate?
