Easter went well. It was at our house, the weather was perfect, and the food was yummy.

I was involved in Road Shows for our church which took A LOT of my time. The kids are involved in different activities
and I am pregnant! (that trumps everything!) PHew... all caught up!
I will flashback in the next post but I just thought that this was worth blogging about. When I was thinking about what to call this post I thought of several things.
* Are you kidding me?
* Sound the alarms
* No more Embassy Suites
* Is this a joke
* We are cursed
The last 2 times we have stayed at the Embassy Suites Hotel, the fire alarm has gone off... posted here and here! The second time I called Embassy Suites, told them what had happened and scored a free night! So last week we went to Cali and used our free night. As the kids and I checked in the receptionist asked if we had a floor preference. James proceeded to say he didn't want something too high because he didn't want to walk down 14 flights of stairs in the middle of the night and nothing too low because he didn't want his stuff wet. So we settled for the 6th floor knowing going through another fire alarm would just be ridiculous. We enjoyed their amenities like the pool and happy hour. We had fun looking at the fish and turtles and listening to the lion roar. (it all makes sense if you've been there). It really is a great hotel and has the best/free made to order breakfast.
We picked up Jared from the airport, got everyone situated, then went to bed. As we are settling down James got his 'valuables' and shoes and laid them by the door. I asked why he was doing that and he said so when the alarm goes off he will be able to just grab everything! Not such a bad idea I thought! The last couple of days had been exciting yet exhausting so the kids told us before their last yawn... ' I just hope we can sleep through the whole night'!
I was only asleep for about an hour when I KID YOU NOT the lights start flashing, alarm starts screaming, and my blood starts boiling! There might have been some profanities that flew out of my mouth but I thought it was SO justified! I really thought the loud voice telling us to evacuate was going to start saying 'THIS IS FOR YOU LAMBSONS'. Jared and I discussed what to do before we woke up all the kiddos. We looked out of our room and nothing was smoking so I still wasn't about to do anything. We kept watch and were just waiting for our kids to wake up to the ANNOYING and LOUD alarm. There was no fire truck so we did NOT see the point of going down the stairs. I knew James would think it was funny so I video taped the lights and alarm to show him and took some pictures because I was NOT about to wake them up. Luckily this time it was only about 20 min long and it progressively gets earlier in the night which I like. I have to admit I don't like that my kids are now immune to fire alarms but it has taught me some valuable lessons.
* Wear decent pajamas. Man alive people have some interesting wardrobe choices!
* Have shoes by the door
* Keep valuables and keys in the same area for quick pick up (good job James)
* Ask for a floor semi-low but not too low to ground level.
I don't know if the Lambson family is just too smokin' hot and keeps setting off alarms.. (ok that was even bad for me) or if we are cursed but I made the call and am just waiting for our next free stay! Wish us luck! I tell you, the breakfast is worth it!

I am STILL DYING over this story!!!! Seriously I can not believe it! It's too much. Bryant was dying too when I told him the story!
I LOVED seeing you guys last week. You are one darling prego lady and I can't wait to meet the newest little Lambson!
Love ya!
Remind me to never go on vacation with you guys. At least not one that involves a hotel=} I decided that you should name your baby Olivia because it starts with a vowell like your other girls. Doesn't Anna, Emmy, & Olivia sound cute!
T, I am still laughing, but not at your expense!! Ok, maybe at your expense. I cannot believe that you have such awesome luck. And you have been a Lambson too long cause that joke was BAD! I'm glad that you had the chance to go to Cali one last time before the baby. On a side note, did you bring back strawberries?
Remind me never to stay at the stay hotel as you guys!:) What a funny story.
The universe is playing a joke on you...I can't believe it! Maybe it's just that particular Embassy Suites?
P.S. James cracks me up...
Serioulsy I am flaberghasted! That is so awesome. My favorite part is that your kids slept threw it and you didn't even get out of bed! I love it. What a great story!
Wow, and good job James!
It's too much of a coincidence that the alarm goes off EVERY time you guys go there. Are you sure that one of your kids isn't pulling the fire alarm? HA!
WHAT in the world?? Seriously, how does that even happen??? I miss you. Can I please come and see you sometime?? Like, maybe after you've had your baby and are settled...so, like 2012? :) JK! Hopefully sooner than that.
I have not been good either. When you are prego do you really have alot to say that isn't all about baby? I sure don't. Glad to see you are still having fun with the fam!
OK - I'm in for the next trip! I figure if it happens again, you should get something like a week free!! Not kidding - you really should be getting more than 1 free night by this time! You know, emotional distress, yadda, yadda, yadda...
